Open Source Libraries Used

The following lists the open source libraries used. Rather than provide support for every permutation of library, we have tried to pick the best solution to each problem and provide elegant integration and RAD tooling...

Library JavaDoc Provides
Able   Framework for building CRUD applications and auto-generating controllers and scaffolding
Stripes JavaDoc Provides the MVC framework, the dispatcher servlet, ActionBean framework etc. Very powerful, clean and uses Java 5 features like annotations
Spring JavaDoc A great dependency injection, declarative transactions and AOP library
SiteMesh   For site layout and styling
Compass   Text search of the domain model using Lucene
Maven   Provide the build, install, deploy, runtime support
Hibernate   The default JPA provider
[Acegi]   For security and single sign on
XFire   SOAP stack
Standards Used Description
JPA (EJB 3 Persistence) For persistence of POJOs which have the @Entity annotation
JSP For presentation along with JSP EL and custom tags
JAXB2 for optional XML / XSD marshalling and REST support
